O'Koyea Dickson, Sr. was born and raised in San Francisco California. He attended George Washington High in San Francisco where during his sophomore year he became the first (and only to date) high school player to hit a homerun out of AT&T Park. Upon graduation, he moved on to attend The College of San Mateo before transitioning to Sonoma State University on a baseball scholarship. During his first and only season at Sonoma State, O'Koyea helped lead his team to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship. He would soon after be discovered by a Dodger Scout and in June of 2011, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 12th round.

Throughout his professional career O'Koyea advanced through every level of the minor leagues and in 2017 he was fortunate to get his big league call up with the Los Angeles Dodgers. O'Koyea made his debut on September 2, 2017 at Petco Park against the San Diego Padres. His first major league hit was off of Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants on September 23, 2017. During the last two seasons - 2018-2019 - he played  professionally in both Japan and Mexico.

While he has been extremely blessed and grateful to have played at the highest level in three major baseball countries, he is now excited to pursue the opportunity to give back to the youth and next generation of baseball and softball players in the very area in which he calls home. O'Koyea has a natural ability to be a leader and mentor and is looking forward to developing every kid that he comes in contact with physically, fundamentally and mentally from a baseball perspective.
